Case Study – MyRide Kenya (App available on App Store)

MyRide Kenya (an offshoot of the MyRide Africa company), aims to make public transport “safe, comfortable and fun” whilst “formalising and transforming the public transport sector”.  The app consists of a mobile application for commuters to log complaints and share information, as well as a dashboard or Complaints Handling Platform for bus owners and authorities. As 56% of road accidents in Kenya are caused by Public Service Vehicles, MyRide has the goal of reducing road accidents by up to 20% annually.

This review is an interesting look at the app.

*Sustainable Development Goals – 3.6.1, 5, 9.1 & 11.2
